Letter from the Secretary General
Dear Delegates and Esteemed Guests,
It is with great pride that the St. Julian’s MUN Club presents the first ever upper school Model United Nations chapter at St. Julian’s School: SJSMUN. As secretary general I am honoured to invite you to our school to explore the issues of our world and develop the minds of those who will find and implement the solutions.
The Model United Nations Club at St. Julian’s has existed since 1994. Today, it is a student led group which meets weekly to debate what our future should look like. It is from these meetings that the team and I have arrived at the issues we feel are most important and relevant to our generation of thinkers. Across the four committees of the General Assembly, Human Rights Council, Security Council and International Court of Justice, we cover conflicts which now we can only watch and regret from afar, to issues of censorship that can be encountered in our day to day lives on social media.
We look forward to seeing you here on December 6th and 7th of 2024.
John Reis
Secretary-General
